Sports Bars and Children's Books

Tonight several of the dad's at Magical Families got together (along with a boisterous crowd of Phillies and Cardinal fans) at the ESPN Club in Disney's BoardWalk. I so enjoyed hanging with this group of guys. Even though most of us had never met it was a very comfortable time. We ranged from all types of fields, from aeronautical engineering to a baseball coach, but we all share the common bond of adoption.

Sure we watched some of the game, but that was mostly when the crowd around us broke out in cheers and we just wanted to know what we missed. No, our conversation ranged from the adoption tax credit, our adoption journeys and of course our kids. At one point it was too humorous not to point out that we had to be the only table of men in all the sports bars in all the world who was talking about Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

That my friends is the dad life and I love it.
